The Gateway Park Organic Community  Garden is located on New York Avenue just south of Lowndes Avenue in Huntington Station. This garden is managed by LI CAN (Long Island Community Agriculture Network) under license agreement to the Town.

Volunteers began building Gateway in June 2010, and gardeners of all ages celebrated the first harvest that fall.

When completed in 2012, Gateway will have about 100 garden beds, 24 for children.

Educational murals grace the garden, painted by 70 adults and children in 2011.

The Gardeners Council sets garden rules and plans events.

Garden beds are free.
