Huntington Opportunity Resource Center
In partnership with Suffolk County Department of Labor and Suffolk County Department of Social Services, Huntington Opportunity Resource Center (HORC), a program of Huntington Community Development Agency, offers assistance with resume preparation, job searches, exploration of career options, access to job training and labor apprenticeship programs, tips for interview success, free workforce attire (as available), DSS application assistance, not for profit services referrals and more. Walk-ins are welcome; appointments are available and appreciated.
The Resource Center, in partnership with St. Joseph's College, recently offered free job training/readiness courses to eligible candidates across industries with a focus on the hospitality industry. Every Tuesday & Thursday, 10am-3pm
PSEG Long Island Consumer Advocate on site every Thursday from 9am-5pm
Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council Medical Insurance Representative for the Certified Blind, Certified Disabled and the Aged on site every 2nd Thursday from 10am - 2pm
Council of Thought & Action (COTA) Case manager onsite every Thursday, 2pm-8pm
