The Public Art Plan and Public Art Initiative, authorized by the Huntington Town Board, are part of an effort to be aware of and create a more stimulating and interesting visual environment for residents and visitors to Huntington.

The Plan and the various Art Initiatives undertaken under its auspices integrate artistic works into the development of public works improvements whenever appropriate and feasible, with an emphasis on our parks and beaches.

The Public Art Plan and the Public Art Advisory Committee, whose job it is to implement the Plan, is part of the Town’s broader effort to promote tourism, expand economic opportunity and enhance the quality of life in the Town.

Visit the Town's Public Art Inventory to find images of and information about individual works of public art.

Artist Opportunities:
If you are an artist seeking information on other current Town of Huntington Public Art Initiative artist opportunities, visit the Town's "Bids & RFPs" webpage to check for any current postings of Public Art RFPs or RFQs.

To receive notices of any future Public Art artist opportunities, please e-mail the Director of Cultural Affairs and ask for your e-mail address to be added to the Town's Public Art Distribution List.
