In an effort to improve efficiency and quality control, the Town of Huntington will be making changes at Dix Hills Park, including: Clark Gillies Arena and Dix Hills Pool.  

Effective December 1, 2025, all financial transactions at the park will be cashless.  All services will require payment in any of the following forms:  All major credit cards(MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover), Check, or Apple Pay.  As we begin preparing for this transition, we are giving patrons advanced notice to help acclimate to the new payment system. 
 
In addition, during this transition period, we are requesting all cash payments made at the Park to be with currency no larger than a $20.00 bill.  
 
We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause.  However we believe these steps are in the best interest of the Town of Huntington, our residents, and patrons of Dix Hills Park.

The Gillies Arena is a state-of-the-art, indoor, with two full-sized NHL ice rinks, year round skating facility, with all amenities. The building, which sits amidst 150 acres of spectacular parkland, is designed in manner of a ski lodge, open and airy, with sloped ceilings and a rustic feel and look.

The Ice Rink Pro Shop stocks a wide variety of equipment and supplies, ranging from laces to dresses. The service is courteous. You can even have your skates sharpened while you wait. The Ice Rink offers public sessions, figure skating, time, group skating lessons, private skating lessons, adult and youth hockey programs.

In addition to locker rooms, there are activity room available and food concession on-site in addition to vending machine service for snacks and drinks.
