Use this request to report lost and or damaged trash containers.

The Town will only replace containers that were lost or damaged due to the actions of your sanitation carter. If you witnessed any action by the carter that resulted in the loss of your container please indicate that on the request. Conversely, if your can was simply not there when you went to retrieve it after collection please indicate that as well.

Residents are advised that the Town cannot honor any claims that are the result of “normal wear and tear” to the trash container. This includes but is not limited to broken wheels, broken handles and worn out receptacle bottoms.

The Town can only replace with cans that conform to Town Code. Town Code specifies that cans must be 39 gallons or less in volume. This is the size of a typical trashcan. Oversized cans and cans with hinged lids and oversized wheels are not permitted by Town Code and cannot be replaced.
