The Office of Veteran Affairs is a Division of the Town of Huntington – Department of Human Services. This office works in conjunction with the Town Board and the Veterans Advisory Board, providing a direct line of communication between veteran’s organizations and the Town of Huntington.
The Veterans Advisory Board is comprised of a representative from each veteran’s organization and meets to address the interests and concerns of all veterans living in the Town of Huntington. The Board meets regularly, and all representatives report pertinent news, information, and dates of upcoming veteran’s activities to their respective organizations. Through the Office of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Advisory Board, the Department of Human Services is able to provide information regarding Veteran’s rights and benefits. Additionally, assistance and referrals for housing are addressed through these offices.
Division of Veterans Services serves as a referral base for Veterans in the community.
