Board of Assessment Review

The Board of Assessment Review meets to hear complaints about the assessed value of properties within the town. Complaints can be about the assessment or about mis-classified property. The Board might call on a complainant to give testimony or provide records during the hearing. After the hearing, the Board will make a ruling by giving the final assessment or the proper class designation of the property. Board members serve five year terms.
