Susan A. Berland was first elected to the Huntington Town Board in 2001 and re-elected to four-year terms in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

As the Town’s first full-time councilmember, Susan’s door is always open. In an effort to increase governmental transparency, Susan spearheaded the effort to televise all official town meetings. She is an advocate of open space, water quality, the arts and providing programming for Huntington’s senior, veteran, youth and disabled residents. Susan continually sponsors events that protect our community’s environment and encourage a spirit of charity and volunteerism.
