Petrone, Berland, Edwards Welcome The Shops at Suite Pieces to Huntington Station

Huntington Station, NY – Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and Councilwomen Susan A. Berland and Tracey A. Edwards participated in the April 26 grand opening of The Shops at Suite Pieces, located in a historic building in the heart of Huntington Station.

Opened in 1907 as the Venice Hotel and operated in the 1950s and 1960s as Mascaro’s Italian Restaurant, the building at 1038 New York Avenue was home of Yankee Peddler Antiques for the past 40 years. Recently, Amanda Peppard, whose vintage furniture shop and do it yourself furniture painting boutique Suite Pieces has been based in the Yankee Peddler for the past two years, took over operation of the building. Redecorated and rebranded as the Shops at Suite Pieces, the building is now a collection of unique shops dealing in vintage, antiques and collectibles with a wide variety of vintage home décor. Upstairs, 13 artists work, display and sell their artwork at The Studios at Suite Pieces.

Supervisor Petrone and Councilwomen Berland and Edwards congratulated Ms. Peppard on the transformation and the commitment it signaled to Huntington Station revitalization.
