6/23/2015 - Petrone, Berland Honor Melville Chamber's DeLuise
Melville – Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and Councilwoman Susan A. Berland helped give Melville Chamber of Commerce founder Michael DeLuise a rousing sendoff June 22 as the chamber celebrated Mr. DeLuise’s retirement and his many years of service to the community.

Supervisor Petrone and Councilwoman Berland presented Mr. DeLuise with a proclamation that noted his many professional achievements, including a distinguished career in public relations at Hofstra University and Dowling College. As the founder and president of the Melville chamber, Mr. DeLuise has served as spokesman on behalf of a business community that included corporate headquarters of banks, technology and communications companies and a large number of regional businesses. He has also served as a member of the Town of Huntington Economic Development Corp. and the Town’s Melville Plan Advisory Committee. A longtime Dix Hills resident, Mr. DeLuise and his wife, Vicki, plan to move to Oregon in their retirement.
