Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and members of the Veterans Advisory Board recently thanked bank employee Teri George for a donation she obtained from the People's United Bank Foundation.
George, who has sung the national anthem at many Town veterans events, was awarded the New York Community Champion Award by the foundation. As part of the award, she was allowed to choose a charitable organization for a donation by the foundation in her name. She chose the Veterans Advisory Board. George presented the check from the foundation to the Supervisor in his office January 3.
