Huntington Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia recently met with some members of the Koumbaro Club of St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church when they visited the Town Clerk’s Archives. Koumbaro translates as “the best man” at a wedding or the “godfather” to a baby at a baptismal.
“We reviewed various documents that are housed in our climate-controller repository. I am delighted these members decided to visit our Archives” said Ms. Raia. The purpose of the Archives is to collect, preserve and provide access to the permanent records generated by the various departments of Town Hall.
