10/8/2015 - Consultant Presents Report on Huntington Community First Aid Squad
The Town of Huntington today released a consultant’s report analyzing the operations of the Huntington Community First Aid Squad, the contractor that serves the Huntington Ambulance District.
The Town Board hired the consultant, Medic Health of Austin, Texas, in July 2014, at the request of five fire departments in the Town. The five departments noted an increase in mutual aid requests from the First Aid Squad that had been taxing their resources. The resolution noted that the increase in mutual aid requests had created “an undue burden for the adjoining fire/EMS organizations that are already responding to additional service requests from within their respective jurisdictions.”
