5/19/2016 - Huntington Recognizes Senior Volunteers

The Town of Huntington recently recognized ten outstanding seniors for their volunteerism contributions to others in the Town.

Chosen in a vote by their peers, the ten were selected with input from the Town’s senior clubs leaders and the Town’s Senior Division staff. Each of the honorees was chosen for volunteer efforts in the community or with the Town’s senior center or senior clubs.

“Each of these honorees has devoted time and effort to enhance the programs the Town provides for our senior population,” Supervisor Frank P. Petrone said. “This recognition is a small token of the Town’s appreciation for all they have done.”

The honorees received proclamations at the annual Senior Recognition Day luncheon May 12 at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury. Joining Supervisor Petrone in the presentations were Council Members Mark Cuthbertson and Susan A. Berland and Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia.
