Concessions
Dix Hills –
Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci and the Town of Huntington Dix Hills Ice Rink will
host the Winter Wonderland at Dix Hills Ice Rink, featuring free ice skating,
an ugly sweater contest, live entertainment, holiday crafts, photos with Santa
and more, on Saturday, December 14 from 5pm to 9pm at the Dix Hills Ice Rink
located at 575 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills.
“We are
excited to bring a festive night of free ice skating, entertainment, crafts and
much more to the Huntington community featuring the Dix Hills Ice Rink with big
thanks to PetSmart for their generous donations,” said Supervisor Chad A.
Lupinacci.
Attendees
will be greeted at the Dix Hills Park facility with holiday lights and
decorations, selfie stations, and opportunities to take a picture with Santa
Claus, who will be giving away free stuffed animals donated by PetSmart.
Activities
will include free ice skating and free skate rentals, an ugly sweater contest,
decorating holiday ornaments to take home for free and opportunities to win
prizes.
The Dix
Hills Ice Rink food concession stand will be open for business and giving away
free hot chocolate.
The crowd
will be entertained with live holiday entertainment by the Huntington High
School Band Ensemble, Huntington High School Chorus, and Stimson Middle School
Teen Tones Chorus.

Dix Hills
Park Ice Rink is a state-of-the-art, indoor, full-sized, year round skating
facility, with all amenities. The building, which sits amidst 150 acres of
spectacular parkland, is designed in manner of a ski lodge, open and airy, with
sloped ceilings and a rustic feel and look. The Ice Rink Pro Shop stocks a wide
variety of equipment and supplies, ranging from laces to dresses. The service
is courteous. You can even have your skates sharpened while you wait. The Ice
Rink offers public sessions, figure skating, time, group skating lessons, private
skating lessons, adult and youth hockey programs. In addition to locker rooms,
there are activity room available and food concession on-site in addition to
vending machine service for snacks and drinks.
