3/26/2020 - Crab Meadow & Dix Hills Golf Courses to Reopen Saturday with Safety Measures in Place

Huntington – Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci is pleased to announce the Town of Huntington golf courses at Crab Meadow and Dix Hills are reopening Saturday, March 28 with steps taken to protect golfers and staff:

 

  • Raised cups; golfers will not need to remove flags
  • Rakes removed from sand traps
  • All transactions taking place through a window
  • Tee times spaced out to 10-minute intervals
  • One golfer per cart required
  • Disinfecting of all carts and pull carts upon return

 

“Our golf courses have put social distancing, logistical, and disinfecting measures in place to make sure our facilities are a safe place to get out of the house, enjoy fresh air and exercise,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci.

Dix Hills Park Golf Course (9-Hole), 575 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills, (631) 499-8005, info@dixhillsgolf.com: Dix Hills Park Golf Course is a golf experience the entire family can enjoy. The par 31 layout rolls through Dix Hills Park with forgiving fairways and ample greens and is a fine place to hone skills for younger players or a great place for a relaxing nine hole round with friends. Dix Hills encourages walking but also allows carts. An irons only driving range and practice putting green are also available to warm up and practice.
