LICAN (Long Island Community Agricultural Network) staff and volunteers have nearly completed reconstruction of the Clifford Soergel Outreach Garden, a roughly 1/3 acre section of the much larger Kubecka Community Garden in Greenlawn. The garden now includes 25 raised beds, 3 of them double height for gardeners with disabilities; large, ground-level beds; a children’s garden; and a donation table. The Kubecka garden is owned and operated by the Town of Huntington. LICAN manages the Soergel garden under license from the Town of Huntington.
