The Half Hollow Hills Historical Association is a small all-volunteer organization founded in 2003 and dedicated to preserving the history of this community. The society is housed in the Lower Half Hollow Hills Schoolhouse (built c. 1896-1930), one of the few remaining "one-room schoolhouses" still in existence in the region. This historic schoolhouse is located adjacent to Paumanok Elementary School at 5 Seamans Neck Rd.
