Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and the Town Council congratulated the winners of the 39th Annual Beautification Awards, which were announced at the April 5 Town Board meeting.
The winners were selected by the Town’s Beautification Council, and covered several categories: residence, business, professional office. They were announced by Dr. William Walter, chair of the council, and presented as a slide show at the meeting.
The winners were:
Residential: Ronald and Deborah Cossio; Leslie and Sarah Bluestone; Dennis and Barbara Farrell; Hartmut H. Herbert; and Paul and Carol Tonna.
Business: Tilden Car Care Center.
Professional Office: Long Island Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Community Service: Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School
Commercial: Fairfield Corporate Center and Rubie’s Corporate Plaza.
The Council has given out the awards every year since 1976. They are given to projects that the Council feels have improved the appearance of the Town
