Huntington
– Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci and Legislator Susan A. Berland helped kick off
the 2019 YMCA 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Marcie Mazzola on Sunday, April 28.

“I commend
Nancy Mazzola for turning her personal tragedy into a vehicle for good,” said
Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci. “Every year, the YMCA 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Marcie Mazzola raises
money to help improve the lives of abused and at-risk children, including
sending these children to summer camp, where they will create memories that
will last a lifetime.”
The mission
of the Marcie Mazzola Foundation is to help better the lives of abused and
at-risk children and to advocacy and community awareness about the needs of
children. This year marks the 13th Annual YMCA 5K Run/Walk In Memory of Marcie
Mazzola, all proceeds raised will help establish YMCA Summer Camp Scholarships
for local children in need.
