East Northport – The Huntington Highway Department will be temporarily closing a section of Elwood Road off to traffic between Bellerose Avenue and Dickinson Avenue in East Northport between the hours of 9:30am to 2:00pm on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
The Highway Department will be removing hazardous trees and snapped limbs culminating from the June 30th, 2019 windstorm.
“Thank you for your patience while we perform this necessary maintenance work on our storm damaged trees,” stated Highway Superintendent Kevin S. Orelli. “The Highway Department will close the roadway off to thru-traffic, but will open the roadway for first responders and local law enforcement.”
