Absentee
Ballot Applications Available in Town Clerk’s Office and on Town Website
At its
December 3 meeting, the Huntington Town Board appointed members to the
Registration Board, appointed Election Inspectors, and authorized an itemized
budget for necessary equipment and personnel for the Referendum vote to be held
on December 20, 2019, considering increasing the monthly service award from $20
to $30 for the Huntington Community First Aid Squad Inc. Service Award Program.
At its
November 19 meeting, the Town Board scheduled a Referendum to be held on
Friday, December 20, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Huntington Town Hall,
Room 114, 100 Main Street, Huntington, NY 11743, setting forth a proposition to
be voted on, considering amending the Huntington Community First Aid Squad Inc.
Service Award Program to increase the monthly service award from $20 to $30 to
further incentivize volunteer ambulance workers. The Town Board had also
scheduled the additional December 3 Town Board meeting at the November 19 meeting.
Voters
residing within the Huntington Community Ambulance District unable to vote in
person on December 20 may vote by absentee ballot. An application for an absentee ballot must be received by the Town Clerk
at least seven days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the
voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered
personally to the voter or their agent.
