Huntington – The Huntington Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meetings, including all public hearings, scheduled
for March 18 and March 19, respectively, have been postponed until further notice due to Town facility Coronavirus prevention-related closures.
Huntington
Planning Board Chairperson Paul Ehrlich stated: “The Planning Board
requires extensive staff participation to hold a meeting at the level of
efficiency the public and applicants require. It is our desire to have
full public participation in the Planning Board process, including the
scheduled public hearing on this week's agenda.
Due to the temporary closure of Town facilities and limited staffing at
Huntington Town Hall, the March 18th Planning Board meeting and all
items on the agenda have been postponed until further notice.”
Huntington
Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) Chairperson John Posillico stated: “Due
to the current circumstances, and the fact that the public must be
afforded
access to the ZBA meetings and an opportunity to be heard, the entire
meeting for March 19th is postponed.”
Huntington Town Hall and all
Town facilities were closed to the public starting Monday, March 16
and until further notice, with the limited exception of Crab Meadow Golf
Course, Dix Hills Golf Course, Town parks and playgrounds, which at
this time will remain open.
