7/2/2021 - Lupinacci Announces Town of Huntington Boarding Up 50 Teed Street, Huntington Station

Huntington – Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci announced the Town of Huntington boarded up the house at 50 Teed Street after the SCPD issued an arrest warrant for illegal occupants:

“Today the Town of Huntington's Departments of Public Safety, led by Joe Cirigliano, and General Services, led by Andre Sorrentino, boarded up the house at 50 Teed Street after the SCPD executed an arrest warrant for illegal occupants. Great job by Town Code Enforcement Inspector Barry Zippelius, SCPD Lt. Mike Teplanski and the 2nd Precinct Crime Squad for their tireless efforts on behalf of our Huntington Station community!”

The Town Board scheduled a public hearing for the May 11, 2021 Town Board meeting, when the Town Board designated the property as a nuisance, authorizing the Town to remedy any blight issues and charge the cost of remediation as a lien against the property owner's tax bill.

The Department of Public Safety has responded to various reports, by residents, of code violations at 50 Teed Street in Huntington Station over the past several months while a law enforcement investigation into criminal activity was underway.
