There are several major downtown Huntington road closures taking place Columbus Day Weekend, Saturday, October 9 and Sunday October 10:
COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND (SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9 & SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10)
There are three Huntington Road Closure Alerts for three events vents taking place Columbus Day Weekend:
- OCT 9 - Huntington High School Homecoming Parade: The following roads will be closed on Saturday, October 9th from approximately 11:00am to 1:00pm -- Gerard Street between West Neck Road and Clinton Avenue, to West Neck Road, Main Street, New York Avenue, Semon Road to Holdsworth Drive, ending at the High School.
- OCT 9 & 10 - Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce’s Long Island Fall Festival: On Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th, from 7:00am to 7:00pm, the portions of Madison Street and Prime Avenue adjacent to Heckscher Park will be closed.
- OCT 10 - Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America’s Annual Long Island Columbus Day Parade: On Sunday, October 10th, from approximately 11:15am to 2:30pm, Route 25A/Main Street and surrounding side streets will be closed between Park Avenue and Lawrence Hill Road.
