7/1/2023 - 4th of July Boating Speed Restrictions Map

- Town beaches will be closed to non-residents after 5PM.
- Residents will be allowed to enter the beaches to view fireworks provided there is available parking.
- From 8:30PM to 11PM on the evening of Tuesday, July 4th, the Town of Huntington will be implementing a temporary 5MPH speed zone to ensure the safety of all boaters during and after the planned firework display from Asharoken Village.
- Our
Harbormaster’s office will be out on the waters supporting the Suffolk County
Marine Bureau as they always do, cracking down on speeders, intoxicated
boaters, conducting boat stops, ensuring boats are operating safely, have the
proper equipment and required documentation, and are adhering to the capacity
limits in place to prevent unnecessary tragedies
