Due to park improvements by the Town of Huntington and for the safety of the public, the playground, basketball court, and lower ball field at Commack Park will be temporarily closed, effective Tuesday, April 14.
The Town will begin installing a new ball field with bleachers, fencing, a backstop, a dugout, and a synthetic turf infield. We will also be adding a new ADA-accessible pathway to the lower field and playground area. We estimate that these improvements will be completed by mid-June.
While work is ongoing, please use another Town of Huntington playground. Elwood Park (309 Cuba Hill Road, Elwood) and Otsego Park (55 Otsego Avenue, Dix Hills) are located nearby.
