Melville -- The Town of Huntington and the Huntington Community Development Agency announce that from June 1 to June 30, the Long Island Housing Partnership will be accepting applications for a lottery being held to create a new waiting list for resales, as they become available, of the affordable units at The Greens at Half Hollow.
There are a total of 100 affordable units at the Greens, a 55-and-over community, and all of the units are presently occupied. The current waiting list is almost exhausted; this lottery will create a new list that will take effect once the existing list is depleted.
The units will be available to buyers earning no more than 120 percent of the median household income in the Nassau-Suffolk Metropolitan Area. The current income limits are $93,050 for an individual and $106,350 for two persons. Applicants also may not exceed $500,000 in assets.
The sales price is adjusted monthly, based on the consumer price index. Currently, first floor units are selling for $209,951 and second floor units are $187,355.
Applicants need to complete the Greens at Half Hollow Waiting List Entry Form and submit it to the Long Island Housing Partnership on or before Friday, June 30, 2017. The form, which contains additional information, can be downloaded.
