Town Marinas & Boat Slips
Huntington maintains and operates three (3) marinas:
• Halesite Marina, Route 110, Halesite, New York
• Mill Dam Marina, Mill Dam Road, Huntington, New York
• Woodbine Marina, Woodbine Avenue, Northport, New York (OUT OF SERVICE)
Annual marina slip fees: are $120/foot for boats 20’ and under and $130/foot for boats 21’ and longer. (Use of Town marinas by commercial vessels is prohibited. Commercial vessel operators should contact a commercial or private marina. Commercial vessels may also request a mooring permit application from the Huntington Harbormaster's Office.)
Boat Slip Applications and information regarding availability at Town Marinas is available from the Harbormaster's Office, 53 North New York Avenue, Halesite, NY, 11743 (behind the Halesite Fire Department). Phone: (631) 351-3255).
Applicants must appear in person at the Harbormaster's Office to complete the application form. (Appearance in person is mandatory to assure proper placement on the waiting list.) A valid New York State Driver’s License and one additional proof of residency (car registration, boat registration, utility bill, etc.) must be provided to complete the application. An application fee also applies upon submission:
• 20’ & under ($50)
• 21’ – 27’ ($100)
• 28’ – 32’ ($150)
• 33’- over ($200)
The average waiting period depends on the Marina and the size of the slip needed. Boats under 20’ are typically easier to place with waits from a couple months to a year. Larger boats waits currently average 5 - 6 years. (These are only averages. Actual wait time varies. You are urged to speak with the Harbormaster.)
