Trash Collection

Curbside Trash & Yardwaste Collection Start Time:

Town Code states that refuse and yardwaste collection may not begin prior to 6:00 am and that recycling collection may not begin prior to 5:00 am. However, when a heat, air quality or severe weather advisory is issued from the National Weather Service, any of the above collections may begin as early as 5:00 am.

Any weather related change to your trash, recycling or yardwaste collection will be available by recorded message on 351-3186, on this website and on the Town’s social media accounts.

Information will be posted by 5:00 am on the day of collection. On snow days, your street must be clear enough for a garbage truck to safely pass for curbside collection to occur. If you need to have your street plowed, the Highway Hotline is 499-0444.
