How to Use the Parking Meters
Parking meters are installed all throughout downtown Huntington village and at the Huntington LIRR Station. View our Parking Map to find locations of municipal parking lots, on-street parking and parking meters.
Passport Parking App
In November 2019, the Town deployed the Passport Parking App allowing motorists to pay for on-street parking conveniently from their smartphones without the need of having to find a parking meter. Par. Pay. Be On Your Way with the Passport Parking app!. Now you can conveniently pay for metered parking online or on the iOS or Android Passport Parking App!
Parking Meter Payment Instructions
Follow the instructions on the meter to make an initial payment or extend time for where your vehicle is currently parked. Please note that all sales are final; no refunds will be given. If you are parked on a street with an out of service meter, please use another meter or pay via the Passport Parking App.
- All sales are final. No refunds will be given. Cancel your transaction at any time by hitting the X button or red button (depending on the meter).
- Do not place your receipt in your vehicle. Keep your receipt on you because you can...
- Extend time at any meter. You do not have to go back to your original meter to add time to an existing parking spot.
In July 2019, easier-to-read instructions were added to all of our parking meters in downtown Huntington.
1) Press any button to begin transaction.
2) Enter license plate number and state
3) Select length of stay (up to the maximum time posted)
4) Choose your preferred payment method - Credit, Debit, or e-Wallet (Apple Pay/Google Pay)
5) No need to leave the receipt on your dashboard
How to Use Passport Parking App
- Download the Passport Parking App for either iOS (link that brings you to the iOS App Store) or Android (link that brings you to Google Play Store)
- Login into the app by either using your phone number or email address, a six (6) digit code will be sent via either text or email to verify your device
- Once verified, create a four (4) digit PIN to open the app and start a payment session
- Enter the five (5) digit Passport app zone number for the location your vehicle is parked (See below for locations/zones and rates)
- Enter your License Plate Number and State
- Select length of stay (up to the maximum time posted)
- Choose your preferred payment method - use an e-wallet or pay per transaction.

Huntington Village (Monday Thru Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM) - Passport Parking Zone #11723 - $1.00 for 1 hour, 3-hour limit.
Huntington LIRR Station (Monday Thru Saturday, 24/7) - Passport Parking Zone #11721 - $12.00 for 24 hours, 24-hour limit.
Huntington LIRR On-Street Parking (Broadway & Railroad Street) (Monday Thru Saturday, 24/7) - Passport Parking Zone #11722 - $6.00 for 24 hours, 24-hour limit.
Pay by Passport Parking App Only
Cold Spring Harbor LIRR Station (Monday Thru Friday, 6AM-5PM) - Passport Parking Zone #11730 - $12.00 Flat rate.
